Transfer to Hotel Day 1
On arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by an &Beyond representative and driven to your hotel, “The Taj Mahal”.
Overnight in Delhi Day 1 - 3
One of the most distinguished addresses in the national capital, The Taj Mahal Hotel is located in the exclusive residential area of Lutyens’ Delhi, close to the seat of government. Reflecting the heritage of Mughal Delhi, this hotel offers graceful architecture with modern facilities. The hotel is a city landmark, centrally located, in close proximity to key areas. It is a 40-minute drive from the airport and near the bustling city center, Connaught Place.
Spend two nights at The Taj Mahal Hotel. Accommodation is in a Deluxe Room with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on bed and breakfast basis.
Plunge deep into the beating heart of Delhi Day 2
Today, you will embark on an insightful tour of Delhi that begins with a visit to Old Delhi’s:
- Chandni Chowk – Take a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, which was once the grandest of markets in India. Today, the Chandni Chowk offers a showcase of historical character, delicious street food and a kaleidoscope of stalls.
- Jama Masjid – is the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India. It lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi.
After your sightseeing journey through Old Delhi, you will have the opportunity to stop for a delectable lunch before continuing your tour to the various attractions of New Delhi, which include:
- Qutub Minar: The Qutub Minar, a tower in Delhi, India, is at 72.5 meters the world’s tallest brick minaret. Construction commenced in 1193 under the orders of India’s first Muslim ruler Qutub-ud-din Aibak. The Qutub Minar is notable for being one of the earliest and most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Humayun’s Tomb: Humayun’s Tomb is a complex of buildings built as the Mughal Emperor Humayun’s tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, and is located in Nizamuddin East. It was also the first structure to use red sandstone at such a scale. The complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.

Drive to Kanha National Park Day 3
Upon landing, you will be driven to the Kanha National Park.
Overnight in Kanha National Park Day 3 - 6
Prime tiger wilderness, Kanha National Park was one of the first areas to be protected under Project Tiger, aimed at preserving this magnificent animal, and remains a renowned conservation area. This picturesque reserve boasts the ideal habitat for both tigers and their prey species. Lush sal and bamboo forests are interspersed with vast grassy meadows known as maidans, while the Banjaar River, which forms the park’s south-western border, provides a steady water source for the abundant wildlife. A huge population of various deer and antelope, including the extremely rare barasingha, supports a large number of tiger, leopard, jackal and wild dog.
On arrival in the Kanha National Park, you will check into Banjaar Tola Tented Camp.
Overlooking the lush forests and grassy meadows of Kanha National Park, at Banjaar Tola Tented Camp you are one with the environment. Just 18 lightweight tented suites are spread out along the riverbank and into the sal forest. Contemporary, flowing shapes, canvas walls and roofs, and immense glass doors that let in the Indian jungle create an atmosphere that is light and ethereal.
Spend three nights at Banjaar Tola Tented Camp. Accommodation is in a Luxury Tented Suite with ensuite facilities. Your stay is on full board basis (cycle of 3 meals a day i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner) including scheduled game drives by shared jeeps.
Explore the sal and bamboo forests of Kanha National Park Day 4 - 5
Explore the sal and bamboo forests of Kanha National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4×4 safari vehicle. A specially trained naturalist will accompany you throughout, pointing out and explaining details about the fascinating animals and plants of the jungle. Your early morning drive enters the park as the dawn is breaking over the jungle.
Explore the meadows, or maidans, where scores of grazing herbivores attract tiger, leopard and wild dog to the edges of the clearings. On an afternoon drive, the wildlife is settling down for the night or having a final drink at the Banjaar River or the many perennial streams that run through the park. Watch out for the elusive leopard and listen to the calling of jackal getting ready for the hunt.
Drive to Bandhavgarh National Park Day 6
Today, following your morning safari and lunch, you will be driven to the Bandhavgarh National Park.
An essential stop on any serious tiger safari, Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned for its population of tigers. A relatively small park with thriving wildlife, it offers guests a good chance of encountering the magnificent tiger, as well as other fauna like gaur (which was brought back from temporary localised extinction by the Forest Field Department, with the assistance of &Beyond, by relocating new stock from a neighbouring park), jackals, leopards and other smaller cats. Cradled between the picturesque Vindhya and Satpura mountain ranges, Bandhavgarh boasts a breath-taking mixture of dense green valleys and rocky hills. Mixed deciduous forests and woodlands are interspersed with flat grasslands and serene waterholes – a beautiful setting for exciting safaris!
Overnight in Bandhavgarh National Park Day 6 - 9
On arrival at Bandhavgarh National Park, you will check into Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge.
Guests in search of an authentic jungle experience won’t be disappointed at Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge, where just 12 kutiyas scattered around an original homestead disappear into the bamboo fronds. Given over to natural forest, the vast grounds create a park-like atmosphere that guests are free to explore on bicycles invitingly parked in the private courtyards of their jungle suites.
