We’re celebrating 20 years in the watery wonderlands of Botswana with an exciting special offer… by Claire Trickett9th March 2018
One thing is for sure, we LOVE to celebrate. Be it a destination wedding, an unapologetically romantic honeymoon, a milestone birthday or momentous anniversary, or a ‘dip into the life savings’ once in a lifetime bucket list adventure that guests know deep down they’ll never repeat, we always strive to make it unique, unforgettable and undeniably &Beyond.
If you have travelled with us before, then you know exactly what that means. It’s those surprise sundowners overlooking herds of wildebeest as far as the eye can see, those unexpected bush banquets revealed in the middle of nowhere, the champagne trees that sparkle in the distance and those romantic bubble baths adorned with rose petals and coupled with champagne-for-two. And hey, our own birthday is no different – celebrations are what we do best.
In 2016, &Beyond turned 25. For more than a quarter of a century, we have been delighting guests from around the world and ensuring that their travel dreams are not only safe in our hands but that they are also exceeded in every way possible. This year, we are celebrating another important anniversary – 20 years of making guests’ dreams come true in beautiful Botswana. So what are we doing to commemorate this special birthday of ours?
A picture-perfect water wonderland that really has to be seen to be believed, the Okavango Delta was officially declared the world’s 1 000th UNESCO World Heritage Site. An achingly beautiful natural wonder and the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango Delta is a maze of sparkling lagoons, meandering channels and overgrown islands teeming with wildlife. Known as “the river that never finds the sea”, it lies like a glittering jewel at the heart of the Kalahari Desert.
Come and explore this magnificent World Heritage Site by mokoro (dugout canoe), on foot, on game drive … or by helicopter, if you’re feeling adventurous. Marvel at the enormous herds of elephant and buffalo along the Chobe River. These landscapes are nothing short of miraculous, the game experience truly unique and the sunsets to die for. You haven’t fully experienced Africa until you have spent time in Botswana.
