Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is an upmarket lodge overlooking the broad Zambezi River, just upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls. Guests are accommodated in sumptuous tree houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Each unit features ensuite bathrooms, mosquito nets, overhead fans, personal bars and a private viewing deck overlooking the Zambezi River. There are also two private Chuma Houses, each with a private lounge and dining area, as well as a plunge pool. Each of the houses has its own private chef, house staff, guide and private vehicle for activities.
Built on two levels, the guest areas boast a spectacular lounge deck, open-air dining area, an elevated bar, an elegant wine cellar and a sparkling swimming pool. A spa offers a wide selection of relaxing treatments. Activities include guided tours of Victoria Falls and the rain forest on the Zambian side, game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, where Zambia’s only white rhino can be spotted, a cultural tour of Livingstone, including a visit to the museum and Maramba Village, as well as early morning or sunset river cruises. Fishing and canoeing are also available.
