Colonial Africa in a beautifully restored Edwardian manor
The spirit of Shamwari Long Lee Manor
Shamwari Long Lee Manor is a reminder of gracious living in a bygone era. Standing proud, this beautifully restored Edwardian Manor, originally built in 1910, offers its guests refined comfort, superb service and a truly rewarding safari experience. Accommodation consists of 19 elegantly furnished rooms, which have lovely ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and satellite television – suites are available for larger groups or families.
Delectable meals are served in the dining room or outdoors, at the barn and around a blazing fire. Two sparkling swimming pools, a beautifully appointed garden, lounge and world-class spa offer a relaxing retreat between morning and evening game drives. Other activities include guided nature walks, birdwatching and afternoon sundowners and snacks in the bush.
What we love about Shamwari Long Lee Manor
We love the authentic braai/barbeque evenings, which are held on every second evening of the week – be prepared to tuck into some seriously mouth-watering local menus.
Warming up around the roaring fireplace with a drink firmly in hand after a thrilling evening game drive.
Being spoilt for choice on wine tasting evenings, which are paired with a mouth-watering four-course menu.
