María comes from a small town, south west from Bogotá in the valleys of the Central Andes Mountain Range. She grew up in nature between rice and cotton haciendas. In the 80’s she moved to Bogotá for her studies in Tourism Administration followed by her first achievement: Leisure Manager at TMA by American Express. After twelve years and with 3 children, she decided to embrace a new experience as Corporate Travel Manager in Aviatur followed by a 2-year seat as Regional Sales Director for Silversea.
With a entrepenuer mind, a kind soul and incredible comercial skills, she decided to embrace a new tourism project where Africa will be the heart of it. Kiboko Voyages was the result and currently is a team composed by young independent women looking in tourism an opportunity to reach their dreams and goals. Maria’s skills are not developed only in tourism and her endless knowledge on Africa, India and luxury properties, she is also an admired human being.
