This second udpate will focus on the northern reaches of the Serengeti and the southern Mara plains, where guests at &Beyond Klein’s Camp, &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp and &Beyond Bateleur Camp are also all witnessing the mighty herds.
The Great Migration’s ‘other half’ – an estimated half a million hungry herbivores – have steadily made their way up north and are now grazing the palatable plains near the Sand River, northwest of Bologonja and over into the &Beyond Klein’s Camp private wildlife concession.
Our rangers north of the Mara River at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo have also reported that they are delighted to hear the ‘mooing’ grunts of the gnus back in the Masai Mara. There are an estimated two to three hundred thousand wildebeest gathered at Roan Hill.
A special thank you to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo guest, Joe Hunt, for sharing her extraordinary images with us.
