I travelled in May 2012 and had one of the best experiences, with fewer people around, green and beautiful landscapes, as well as great game viewing. Some of the highlights of the trip included Tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara National Park, variety of wildlife on the crater floor, the beginnings of the migration in the Serengeti, large pride of lion in the Grumeti area, leopard at Kleins Camp, as well as a buffalo & lion interaction.
Dramatic scenes include bright sunshine filtering through stormy clouds, green grassy plains filled with bright little flowers, Acacia trees which I love, never-ending plains with threatening clouds looming, dark blue escarpments, soda lakes and pink flamingos, elephants mud bathing, hippo wallowing, wildebeest & zebra on the move and so much more. A truly peaceful and relaxing time to be on Safari!
