American celebrity chef and renowned author, Anthony Bourdain, recently spent four days at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge to film an episode of his CNN television series, “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown”. The show focuses on different cuisines and cultures around the world and we can’t wait to see our lodge featured in the upcoming segment.
Anthony spent time with &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge’s Junior Executive Chef, Esther Mashina, who has been with &Beyond for 20 years. It was a wonderful opportunity for Esther and her hard-working team to exchange ideas and stories with this world-famous chef.
Upon departing the lodge, Anthony was kind enough to fill out a guest feedback form on which he gave the food at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge the highest possible rating of “excellent”. Well done to Esther and our team of chefs at the Crater! To have your food considered excellent by arguably one of the best chefs in the world is a remarkable compliment and an outstanding achievement. We couldn’t be more proud!
