I hope you had a wonderful Christmas holiday with your family.
I am finally back in the office settles at my desk. Having just returned yesterday, I am experiencing a little culture shock. We left Dar es Salaam, where it was a 105 degrees to return to a frozen New York, with a blizzard today and ten degrees. Africa all seems sadly so far away.
We had the most incredible adventure, which surpassed all of our expectations. It had been a lifelong dream of mine to trek with the gorillas and the experience certainly did not disappoint. We really had such good fortune all along the way with our wildlife sightings. It was really like a National Geographic documentary come to life. The three principal parts of our trip were each so unique and made for a wonderful varied African experience.
All of this was enhanced by the incredible itinerary you crafted which was executed seamlessly by an incredible team. We were all terribly impressed with the professionalism and generosity of all the ground staff, lodge managers, guides and support staff along the way. I know you arrange countless trips, but it really is extraordinary that in such a remote part of the world everything was orchestrated so smoothly and professionally. There was always a smiling face to greet us and at each arrival and to send us off to our next destination. Our entire trip went off without a single hiccup.
We really can’t thank you enough for making all of our dreams come true. Everyone in my party was singing your praises.
We spent most of the trip already discussing our next adventure, and will certainly be in touch with you to help us plan our journey.
