Bazaruto Archipelago Benguerra Island Beach Walk

How do I get to and around Mozambique?

Flights to Mozambique connect the country to other destinations in Southern and East Africa, via the international airports of Vilanculos and Pemba. Airlink is our preferred airline provider for flights from South Africa to Mozambique

Private and scheduled charters are easily arranged from either Johannesburg or Nelspruit to various destinations within Mozambique. Most island resorts are reached by helicopter, shuttle flights and road transfers. A few of the lodges are only accessible by boat.

Most trips to Mozambique come with transfers included and you are advised to make use of these.

SELF-DRIVE
We do not recommend Mozambique as a self-drive destination.

Currently there a limited number of guided safaris available around Mozambique

What to remember when travelling around Mozambique

Roads in Mozambique are unpredictable and tend to get worse as you travel north or to more central parts of the country.

These regions are also less safe and it is recommended that you avoid them. Self-drive holidays are not recommended and neither is travel by train or bus/coach.
