My Favorite Hotel in Cape Town

My All time Favorite Hotel in Cape Town

The Cape Grace Hotel on Cape Town’s Waterfront

From the person that greets you on arrival at the entrance to this magnificent hotel – you feel incredible warmth and a sense of genuine welcome – the Staff here is truly proud of their very beautiful hotel and it shows in everything they do. I am always overwhelmed that you can be getting out of the elevator, and someone you have never seen before, will greet you by name and enquire as to how you are enjoying you stay …how they do this eludes me but I love it!

The Hotel has just been lovingly restored and their new look juxtaposes modern and period. There are rare artifacts and original antiques in every corner of every room and I loved their hand painted Drapes and Bedspreads b y African Sketchbook. Each room is completely different in design, but there’s a definite theme of understated elegance, luxury and comfort which what this hotel is so well known for

What I love about this hotel:

  • The Staff of course and the warmth they have always extended to my guests
  • The views of the working harbor on one side and of Table Mountains and the yacht marina on the other
  • The Charlotte Rhys toiletries and plush  robes and slipper
  • Their Signal Restaurant and the Bascule Whiskey, Wine and Cocktail Bar
  • Sprit of the Cape – their privately owned yacht that you can charter
  • The Spa at the Cape Grace for some pampering and relaxation
  • The In room dining menus – delicious

2-Bedroomed Suite - TurndownRoom View

Families are made to feel especially welcome here and my son has also declared that this is the Best Hotel in the World. On arrival he was taken to choose Wii and Playstation Games at the Library and before we had reached our room, these had been set up for him in our room. Children are made to feel important at this Hotel and we loved their Children bathrobes and slippers that are laid out for them at turndown in the evening and are just so thoughtful!

Kids at Cape Grace

The Spirit of the Cape, The Cape Grace’s privately owned 56ft 5 star motor yacht moored a the Marina and can be chartered for just an hour to cruise around the Harbor in luxury or for the day and you can enjoy a trip to Clifton Beach for a picnic lunch or a barbeque onboard or you can venture slightly further to Cape Point or Langebaan for the day.

The Perfect Hotel in the Perfect Location and the Perfect Balance between genuine Hospitality and Exceptional Service!
