&Beyond Africa Safari – Exeter Lodge Lions take down Africa Buffalo!

Recent guest to Exeter River Lodge in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Jill Daley, kindly shared this incredible image taken on the first game drive of the day on Saturday 7 April 2012. The drive started out with a bang with the group seeing 4 male lions stalking 4 Daga boys (the older old Buffalo) hanging around the lodge. The lions managed to kill this buffalo on the staff soccer field. Their tracker, Martin told the group that the “unlucky” buffalo only had sight in one eye due to a previous injury and as a result, put him at a disadvantage

The Survival of the fittest prevails in the African Bush!

Thanks to Jill for this incredible photograph!
