Selinda Explorers Camp
Situated in a remote location on the famous Selinda Spillway, Selinda Explorers Camp offers an authentic taste of classical safari with a modern twist.
Set in the shade of the riverine forest, the camp is designed in the style of the early explorers. Booked on an exclusive use basis, just four guest tents each boast their own adjoining open-air bathrooms with explorer-themed hot water bucket shower and flush porcelain toilet. Each tent overlooks the Selinda Spillway, with roomy hammocks placed on each private veranda.
Beautifully detailed recycled wood furniture, crystal decanters and Persian rugs pay homage to the early era of safari. Simple, yet cool and shady, the canvas guest area provides a place to socialise. Cooked over an open fire, meals are served beneath the stars or in the tented dining area. Guided walking and canoeing adventures explore the surroundings, while day and night game drives are also available.
