Cybele- the Spa in the Forest – with delicious food, accommodation and all…

My job is tough. Lets face it. Every now and again I send a few emails in between flitting here and there, being pampered in spas, watching lions mate, swimming with Wild Dolphins (or not) and eating the finest cuisine on offer in Africa….. Its challenging!

Beyond the joking (if partly true) I am grateful to have the exposure to all these amazing experiences. A recent one- Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa in Mpumalanga;  South Africa near the Kruger was outstanding….

Here are a  few pics I took ( I believe the website does the property better justice- I am a novice) to show you that it is really homey, and comfortable with a perfcet blend of luxurious,  elegance and comfort to make for the ideal holiday spot. The food was seriously outrageous- it was challenging deciding which dish to pick- and all simply delicious.  I loved the feel of the place, my spa treatments and the staff. Especially Lloyd and Bradley- they were hilarious and so welcoming!

My Favourite things about Cybele are:

• The Champagne Fridge in the bathroom in the Forest Suite. Oh my word- so stunning- accompanying the free standing Victorian style bath
• The food
• The Staff- Everyone was happy to look after us and super friendly
• The Gardens- so lush
• The avenue of trees lining the drive to the lodge

At which point my camera battery ran out- and I did not manage to get any pics of the bathroom or bedroom…..such a pity. You will have to trust me on this one, it is gorgeous.
