Guests visiting
&Beyond Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp on a Monday have the wonderful option of visiting the travelling market that comes to the local community of Manji Tola. With a host of delights on offer, guests can browse the kaleidoscope of stalls — from vegetables, spices and tea, to clothes, jewellery and other handmade trinkets. The friendly vendors showcase their wares en route to Kanha National Park, and all passersby are tempted to stop. Besides the opportunity to shop for keepsakes to take home, the market also provides fantastic photographic opportunities — women in brightly coloured saris, men preparing tea and paan (betel) leaves, and the busy makeshift barber shop set up beneath a tree. What a wonderful, vibrant world to delve into!
