Help Save our Rhinos (and get fit!)

My friend Jon Morgan, an ex &Beyond Ranger and Travel Planner, is now working to help save our Rhinos from a terrible spate of poaching that has taken hold of our country.  This is what he is offering:

Feel up to a real Challenge and help raise funds for African Conservation? Get involved with Challenge4aCause and support rhino anti poaching?

We’d like to invite you to participate in a once in a lifetime challenge that will change your life and the lives of many threatened and endangered African animals.

Challenge4aCause is a fund raising initiative that supports the conservation of Africa’s endangered animal species and also finances projects that seek to uplift poor communities through education. We do this by running Annual Challenges with all donations going to the Wildlife ACT Fund, Save the Rhino Trust and the Good Work Foundation.

We are currently looking for participants for the two Namibian mountain bike challenges that take place in July this year and are aiming to raise R1.2 million for the three organisations that we support. Places are filling up quickly, so be sure to get in touch as soon as possible should you wish to participate.

The fundraising amount which is equal to the participation cost is split between 3 organisations:

Save The Rhino Trust
Save the Rhino Trust has provided consistent patrolling and monitoring of Black Rhino in the Kunene region of Namibia over the last 25 years. They require funds for their anti poaching units that protect the largest free ranging Black Rhino population in the wild.

Wildlife ACT Fund
The Wildlife ACT Fund is a non profit company and requires funds for the development of new anti-poaching technologies, the implementation of long-term monitoring programs for threatened and endangered species, as well as community outreach initiatives.

The Good Work Foundation
The Good Work Foundation uses its funds to promote the education of disadvantaged individuals in rural areas and to pioneer wildlife corridors between existing conservation areas.

If you are not able to participate but would nevertheless like to donate to these incredible causes, then please visit the GivenGain donations page that we have set up in collaboration with the Wildlife ACT Fund:
