Water in the Desert?

Yes it is true! Every once in a while, the area around Sossusvlei Desert Lodge receives higher than normal rainfall and for a short time, the desert blooms.
This is an incredible time to travel to this beautiful area. Springbok can be seen grazing on the green grass on the plains next to the signtaure red dunes and Oryx can be seen enjoying the opportunity to drink from once dry river beds.
Not only has the landscape had a complete make over, so has the lodge. It has recently undergone a refurbishment and is looking amazing.
