Romantic Cape Town & Eastern Cape Safari
Wind your way along South Africa’s beautiful coastline, from cosmopolitan Cape Town and the surrounding winelands to the scenic Garden Route town of Plettenberg Bay, ending with a classic safari experience in the Eastern Cape.
With Table Mountain at its heart and two oceans at its feet, the city of Cape Town has been famed for centuries as the Tavern of the Seas. Then onto breath-taking Franschhoek, tucked away in a valley tightly hemmed in by mountains in the Western Cape. The Cape Whale Coast is made up of a series of spectacular bays, coves and river mouths hemmed in by soaring mountains and valleys. It is known as one of the best places in the world for whale watching.
Plettenberg Bay is an upmarket resort town and, in spring, home to whales who calve in the shallow waters of the bay. A province of dramatic contrasts, South Africa’s Eastern Cape is home to some of the country’s most varied landscapes, from the arid stretches of the Karoo in the interior to the lush rolling hills of the Transkei.
