Day 1 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team and will be chauffeured to your hotel.
Relax for two nights at The Taj Mahal Hotel, situated at the heart of New Delhi. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 - Delhi
Plunge deep into the beating heart of Delhi as you take a guided sightseeing tour of the Chandni Chowk. Immerse yourself in the colourful stall and crowded alleyways of this historical market on a rickshaw ride and visit the Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India. After lunch, enjoy a drive through the British colonial part of Delhi, passing landmarks such as the president’s mansion, known as Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate and the Old Secretariat. End the day with a visit to the Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret and the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
This morning you will be driven to Agra, a road trip of approximately three hours. On arrival, check into a premier room at The Oberoi Amarvilas, where you will spend the night. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
In the afternoon you will tour the impressive red sandstone Agra Fort before enjoying the magnificent sight and exceptional symmetry of the elegant white marble buildings of the Taj Mahal at sunset.
Day 4 - Jaipur
After breakfast you will set off on the five-hour drive to Jaipur, stopping to explore the ancient abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. On arrival in Jaipur, you will settle into your room at the Rambagh Palace, once home to royalty, where you will spend two nights surrounded by reminders of the region’s rich history. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 5 - Amber Fort
After breakfast you will tour the Amber Fort, situated on a picturesque hilltop and designed in a unique architectural style. From here, you will be driven to the retreat of Dera Amer, where you will enjoy an elephant ride and a delicious traditional lunch. The afternoon will be spend exploring the Jaipur City Palace, marvelling at the ancient astronomical instruments in the Observatory Tower and admiring the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, an elegant structure constructed especially to allow the ladies of the former royal harem to gaze out onto the streets of Jaipur unobserved.
Day 6 - Jodhpur
Today you will be driven to Jodhpur, a trip of approximately six hours by road. Situated on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert, Jodhpur is dominated by an imposing fortress that towers above the city on a sandstone ridge. On arrival, relax in a palace room at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, where you will spend two nights. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 7 - Mehrangarh Fort
In the morning you will embark on a guided tour of the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, known as the best maintained fort in Rajasthan. Next you will visit the Jaswant Thada, a beautiful marble crematorium constructed for the maharajahs in the 19th century. Round off the afternoon inhaling the heady fragrances and enjoying the vibrant colours of the Spice Market.
Day 8 – 10: Baghvan Jungle Lodge
This morning you will fly to Mumbai, where you will board another flight to Nagpur. A vehicle will be waiting to drive you two and a half hours to Baghvan Jungle Lodge, situated on the outskirts of Pench National Park. A spectacular natural reserve set in typical teak jungle, Pench offers a quiet and secluded game viewing experience and supports a rich variety of wildlife. On arrival, settle in at Baghvan for the next three nights. Your stay is on a full board basis, including scheduled game drives in a shared vehicle.
Explore the jungle on morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by a trained naturalist.
Day 11 - 13: Kanha National Park
Set off on a four-hour drive to Kanha National Park. One of the first areas to be protected under Project Tiger, aimed at preserving this magnificent animal, Kanha is a renowned and picturesque conservation area that boasts the ideal habitat for both tigers and their prey species. On arrival, make yourself comfortable in your luxury tent at Banjaar Tola Tented Camp, where you will spend three nights overlooking the Banjaar River. Your stay is on a full board basis and includes scheduled shared game drives.
Explore the sal and bamboo forests of Kanha on twice-daily game drives accompanied by an &Beyond-trained naturalist, who will point out and explain details about the fascinating animals and plants of the jungle.
Enjoy a final morning drive in Kanha before being driven to Jabalpur (approximately four and a half hours) and catching a flight back to Delhi, where your adventure with us will end.
