Predator Hat Trick
Guests visiting Banjaar Tola Tented Camp had no idea what kind of surprises were in store when they departed on their morning game drive with naturalist Sadhvi Singh. Minutes after they entered Kanha National Park, everyone was delighted to see wild dogs on the road ahead. These predators are harder to find than a tiger and hadn’t been seen in the park for a long time, so there was plenty of excitement. As they proceeded just 200 m down the road, Sadhvi spotted what she suspected was a deer in the grassland. Upon closer inspection there was no mistaking it was a leopard. After a leisurely breakfast, Sadhvi and her guests were en route back to the lodge, happily discussing the day’s highlights, when out of nowhere a handsome subadult tiger appeared and posed majestically for the cameras. Just another extraordinary and unforgettable day in the Indian jungle!
